Bill Radford - July 2007 PDF Print E-mail
Active ImageMy name is Bill Radford. I flew control line during high school. I tried electric RTF to
get in the air cheaply and easily. That idea did no work. After that I saw one of the
Hill Top Flyers at a hobby shop. Now if I can just keep Don and Dave from kicking me
out of the club I shall fly solo! This turning in two directions and up, up, up is slowly
getting to my fingers.

Joel Keys - July 2007 PDF Print E-mail
Active ImageMy name is Joel Keys. I live in Lawrenceville, Georgia. I build automatic transmission
for a living, and ride motorcycles for transportation. I work on and fly model airplanes
for fun. I came out to hilltop the first time on one of my motorcycles and ran into a great
bunch of people. I would like to thank all of you for being so nice and make the club
what it is, a great place to fly Thanks, Joel.

John Stevens - July 2007 PDF Print E-mail
Active ImageMy name is John Stevens, I’m 38 years old. I am one of the sons of Dan Stevens and
brother of Mike Stevens. Dad began teaching me to fly at 11, and we were competing by
14. I flew models in the Army for the Air defense Artillery, and have been modeling off
and on most of my life. In 1999 I sold out all of my modeling, and got my PPL. After
flying Cessna, Pipers for a while, I got into experimental gyroplanes. My first gyro was a
VW powered KB-2 back in 2003. I built and flew this for about a year and a half. I sold
it to a guy that was a very skilled gyro pilot and CFI. He killed himself in it this past Feb.
That combined with being able to name 5 people that I knew, with way more skills than
me, were killed in the last year. That ruined my desire to participate in that sport.
I’m back! I’m ready to fly and have fun. My older brother Bill is flying models again as
well. Be warned, at any given time, there could be 4 Stevens at any given fly-in.
BTW, I’m married, and have 3 kids (Jenna, Brock, and Pacer), I work for UPS.

Benjamin Kabigting - May 2007 PDF Print E-mail

Active ImageMy name is Benjamin Kabigting. I also go by “Ben.” I am married with two kids who are both in college. I am originally from the Philippines. Back in September of 2000, my wife, son and daughter migrated to the United States. We lived in the state of California for almost a year until we decided to move to Atlanta, Georgia. Georgians are warm and welcoming. The Southern hospitality made us feel at home. My interest in flying model aircrafts sparked last year. My first model aircraft was a level 1 electric E-flite helicopter. I was not content with its capabilities to fly so I decided to upgrade to the level 2 E-flite helicopter. I acquired my first ARF in December of 2006. My son gave me a Nitroplane trainer as a Christmas present. With Don Pruitt’s talent and skill, I got my first gas powered airplane completed. Don assisted me on my first flight a few months ago. He is still showing me the ropes on how to fly a model aircraft. Hopefully, I will be able to fly solo not long from now.

He lives in Snellville with his wife Jennifer and two children.

Damon Tally - Feb 2007 PDF Print E-mail

Damon has come to the Atlanta are from Harriman, TN. He attended Mercer University and became a pharmacist. Damon has been a pharmacist with Walgreens for five years.
